I scoffed but....

They were right. Sigh.

Several times as I wandered around different Roc Days and guild meetings I would be mesmerized by the fineness of the spinning. And many times people laughed when I said "I can't wait, it's so hard". The consensus was, after a while, Fine is easier than Bulky. R-i-i-ght.

So imagine when I sat down with this lovely roving intending to spin bulky for a lovely little cap when I Could Not Do It. I did eventually persevere

and then the hat pattern was ghastly. Rip Rip Rip, try again, Hideous, Rip, Rip, Rip, how about.....Bleech. And what's with the underage p-rn in the R-wan book? Ick.

Oh well, the yarn is cute.

I've heard that bulky is harder to spin after you've been spinning for a while. I haven't gotten to that point yet though. I guess I've got more practice to do, eh?

I don't think I will ever get to the point of spinning my own yarn but I too have been doing my fair share of ripping out. Of course Kathryn has been helping out...will I ever learn!

I totally understand - anything bulkier than DK weight and I'm stuck...I couldn't spin bulky even when I was just starting out!
